Monday, September 16 – 6:45 pm

Please join us for our first meeting of the year beginning with refreshments and social at 6:45 pm followed by our meeting at 7:30 pm. Our speaker will be JoAnne Cianfichi, Ascension Small Groups Coordinator. All women are encouraged and invited to attend, and bring a friend along! Come meet, learn, share and grow in community! Our new Ascension Catholic Church polo shirts are available in both men and women’s sizes from Small to 2X-large. Our Altar is not in keeping with the requirements of what an altar should be (i.e., it is made of plywood and can be picked up by one person and easily removed from the church). As a result, one person donated money for a new Altar for our parish in memory of her belated husband. From there, her sons committed to donate money for a new matching Baptismal Font, since our font, which is on wheels and rusting, is also not suitable for the First of all Sacraments, that is also necessary for salvation. During the planning meeting, one of the family members suggested that I have all 4 appointments for the Sanctuary done at one time so they all match. To that end, I asked for donations (individually or collectively) for the Ambo and Tabernacle. I’d like to thank everyone for their generous donations to date. At this time, we only need the following item for the altar:

  • Ambo (which will total $12,982)

Thank you for anything you are able to do in this venture, not only to beautify our church, but also to add dignity to our worship of God as we thank Him, when we gather for Mass, for the gift of our salvation.

The Annual Spectacular Christmas Bazaar is right around the corner! Our Bazaar has been a tradition for over 20 years, and we are very excited to be able to host it again this year. Our parishioners are part of its success, so please consider donating to our Raffle. For example: Gift cards, gift certificates, spa and salon services, wine for our Wine Basket, Restaurant gift cards, we love Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A, etc. Thank you very much! God Bless.

Need help with processing the loss of a loved one? We are here to help. The Ascension Bereavement Group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 in the parish office chapel. The group discusses many aspects of grief and provides tools and support to help an individual deal with the process of grief through the Harvesting Of Tears program. The program is facilitated by your parish nurse, Barbara Bzura RN MSN. We are beginning a new group on February 12th. Please consider giving the group a try; many parishioners have been through the program and were happy that they did. There is no pressure to speak or share, and it is completely confidential. Please register with the office or call Barb Bzura at 561-699-3553. Don’t go it alone. We are here for you.

Join us in the Holy Grounds Cafe, located in the Family Center, after Sunday Mass. We are open from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. We have a new menu and now offer iced tea, iced coffee and freshly baked bagels in addition to our usual variety of coffees and delicious pastries!
