Weekend Slideshow

Join us in the Holy Grounds Cafe, located in the Family Center, after Sunday Mass. We are open from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. We serve a variety of coffees and delicious pastries!

Our summer message series is entitled LIARS, CHEATERS, COWARDS AND OTHER BIBLE HEROES. We tend to put many heroes of the Old Testament up on a pedestal, believing they are so much different of us; however, when we take a closer look, we realize that these heroes are full of flaws, failures, and foibles, just like us.  Throughout this summer series, we will take a look at poignant Old Testament Bible characters:  Adam, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Samson, David, Elijah, Daniel, Esther, and Nehemiah. We will explore how God used these people in salvation history, despite their flaws and failures.  Despite our own personal failures, He wants to use us to build His kingdom, as well.

Enjoy the exciting finale to the World Cup 2018 with your friends from Ascension! Mark your calendars and make plans to join us for this special event.

The Missions ministry continues to collect travel size toiletries to make hygiene bags for the homeless. We are in great need of travel sized shaving cream, deodorant and dental floss. Collection bins are located in the Family Center next to the Information Booth and in the Chapel area of the Church. Fr. Paul Farin of Cross Catholic Outreach will be visiting Ascension next weekend, July 21-22, to speak at all the Masses on behalf of the poor in developing countries. Cross Catholic Outreach was founded to create a meaningful link between parishes in America and the priests and nuns working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Central and South America.

Please join us on Thursday, July 26 at the 9:00 a.m. Mass for the Memorial of St. Anne and St. Joachim, the grandparents of Jesus. There will be a special blessing for all grandparents who are present. Even if
you are babysitting, as many of us do, bring the grandchildren with you! We are the ones praying, showing by example, helping in every way we can to pass on the faith. Please join us for a special blessing and coffee and conversation after Mass. St. Anne and St. Joachim, pray for us.

As summer begins, many of our volunteers are gone and we really need your help and support to continue to have every weekend Mass staffed with liturgical ministers and ministers of welcome and hospitality. We are appealing to you to please step up to weekend ministry and serve as a greeter, a host minister, or help out in the Holy Grounds Cafe. Consider training to become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Your service really DOES make a difference at our weekend Masses.  Simply submit a Ministry Interest Form and we will be glad to contact you! You can also CLICK HERE to download the form. Complete it, and drop it off at the Information Booth, the Parish Office or in the weekend collection basket. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our next photo session is Saturday, July 28- 4 to 6:30 pm and Sunday, July 29 – 8 am to 1:30 pm and after the 7:00 pm Mass. Photos are taken in Classroom 5 located in the back of the Family Center. This is a parish project with no outside vendors involved and the photo session is FREE! It only takes a few minutes and we can’t wait to share your smile! For additional information, please call the parish office at 561-997-5486.

Stop by our Information Booth in the Family Center. Our friendly volunteers are available to assist you after the Sunday morning Masses. Our mobile cart is available after the Saturday 4:30 pm Mass and the Sunday 7:00 pm Mass.
