Weekend Slideshow

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting and abstinence. The Fridays of Lent are also days of abstinence from all meat. Fasting is to be observed by all, 18 years of age through 59. On a fast day, one full meal is permitted. Two other meals, which in total do not constitute another full meal yet are sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each one’s needs. Eating between meals is not permitted, but liquids, including milk and juices, are allowed. Abstinence is observed by all, 14 years of age and older. On days of abstinence no meat is allowed.

Join us on March 8, 15, 22, April 5 and 12!

Need help with processing the loss of a loved one? We are here to help. The Ascension Bereavement Group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 in the parish office chapel. The group discusses many aspects of grief and provides tools and support to help an individual deal with the process of grief through the Harvesting Of Tears program. The program is facilitated by your parish nurse, Barbara Bzura RN MSN. We are beginning a new group on February 12th. Please consider giving the group a try; many parishioners have been through the program and were happy that they did. There is no pressure to speak or share, and it is completely confidential. Please register with the office or call Barb Bzura at 561-699-3553. Don’t go it alone. We are here for you.

The Missions ministry continues to collect travel size toiletries to make hygiene bags for the homeless. We are in great need of travel sized shaving cream, deodorant and dental floss. Collection bins are located in the Family Center next to the Information Booth and in the Chapel area of the Church. CLICK HERE if you are interested in finding out more about our Missions work here at Ascension.

As summer begins, many of our volunteers are gone and we really need your help and support to continue to have every weekend Mass staffed with liturgical ministers and ministers of welcome and hospitality. We are appealing to you to please step up to weekend ministry and serve as a greeter, a host minister, or help out in the Holy Grounds Cafe. Consider training to become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Your service really DOES make a difference at our weekend Masses.  Simply submit a Ministry Interest Form and we will be glad to contact you! You can also CLICK HERE to download the form. Complete it, and drop it off at the Information Booth, the Parish Office or in the weekend collection basket. We look forward to hearing from you!

In addition to our Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday evenings, we also have Adoration, Monday through Friday 8 to 8:50 AM.  All are welcome.

Call the parish office at 561-997-5486 for additional information on this exciting travel opportunity.

Stop by our Information Booth in the Family Center. Our friendly volunteers are available to assist you after the Sunday morning Masses. Our mobile cart is available after the Saturday 4:30 pm Mass and the Sunday 7:00 pm Mass.
