The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which those who are interested in learning about the Catholic Faith, can attend sessions that help them learn about God and the Catholic Church. If they discern that they would like to become members of the Catholic Church, this process can lead to full initiation into the Catholic Church.
RCIA is for adults who:
- Are interested in learning about God, Jesus Christ, the Catholic Faith, the Catholic Church, and knowing in what direction they should go,
- Have never been baptized in another Christian faith and are interested in the Catholic Faith,
- Are baptized Catholics who have not yet received the Sacraments of First Communion or Confirmation,
- Are married to a Catholic, attend Mass, and would like to take the next step to become a member of the Catholic Church.
If you would like to join the Catholic Church or learn more about the Catholic faith, please consider participating in the RCIA program. The program consists of meeting with others to pray and share questions and concerns of the faith. It is also a time to learn about the tradition and history of the Catholic Church, while experiencing our beliefs and worship. This program is designed specifically for those who are not in full communion with the Catholic Church. If you have never been baptized, have been baptized in another faith denomination or are Catholic but have not received the Sacraments of Holy Communion or Confirmation, this program is for you.
Our classes for the 2020-2021 season have begun. We meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Family Center or via Zoom. Masks are required for those persons attending class in the Family Center in addition to observing social distancing.
