There are a number of families within our community that are dealing with the challenges associated with raising children with special needs. Each situation is unique as families struggle to cope with one or multiple situations that can involve medical, behavioral, developmental, language and learning issues.
Recognizing the trials to faith, family and finances which these families are exposed to, the Special Needs Children’s Ministry seeks to create and convey a loving, supportive and nourishing environment to these disheartened families. Together, our mission is to provide spiritual support and renewed hope through a series of community outreach programs. Services and activities provided by the Special Needs Children’s Ministry will include:
- Individual and Family Networking
- Crisis Counseling
- Community Outreach
- Sibling Respite
- Service Coordination
- Benefits Counseling
- Awareness Programs
- Topical Education
In order to fulfill the mission, we respectfully ask those families with special needs children to contact us. Additionally, we call to service those professionals and individuals in the community who are experienced in the areas of Family Counseling, Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Management, Estate and Financial Planning, Art, Music, and Nutrition, among others.
Together, we can create and convey a loving and nourishing environment in an effort to restore and reinforce faith and hope in disheartened families throughout the special needs community. This is an inter-denominational ministry and All Are Welcomed! For additional information, please call the parish office at 561-997-5486.
