Message Series

From Cindy Nau, Communications Director: We are blessed to be back to public Masses, to celebrate in community and share in the Blessed Eucharist at the Lord’s table. However, we are not doing church the way we normally would. It is hard to share community when we are behind masks, cannot share a physical sign of peace, or have a cup of coffee together. We pray for the time we can return to a more normal way to be together at church.

In our heart of hearts, we all want to be generous – to be people who are givers. This is because we bear the image of God and God is a giver. All of this world is gift. And God gave his most precious gift at Christmas when he sent his Son into the world. God loves and so God gave his son. This is why at the Christmas season we give as well.

Our next message series, Unwrapping Christmas, begins the weekend of November 21-22. Giving and generosity go together. To be generous means to hold our lives and all we have with an open hand. In this series we will look at how Christmas invites us into a life of generosity and offer some ways to give into this temptation.
